Default Worried!!

Hey guys just a question on something i am worried about. I have a semi built B18c1 that i have just finished building here are the specs:

Eagle stock stroke GSR crank
ACL bearings
Eagle stock size gsr rods
Wiesco 11.8:1 pistons 30 over
stock injectors
Darton sleeved block
portflow head
Stock cams
Ferra comp valves
crower springs and retainers
stock head gasket
stock intake manifold
type r 4-1 exhaust mani.

My question is will i be able to run it off a stock p72 ecu. I have an aem ems but no one to tune it where i live plus no wideband o2. Please help because i really don't want to screw up on this. Your help would really be great on this one. Thanks

I would not do that. Even though you have stock cams, if your head was worked, this will change quite a few things.

Why risk the motor?

Also you should know that p72 under vtec is very conservative with timing, if your fuel was ok, it should be fine. BUT once in Vtec P72 has VERY big timing advance for something running 11.8 cr on stock cams. If you had aftermarket cams this would drop your dynamic CR, and be more compatible with p72 timing map, but it would own you on fuel...

Either way, p72 can cost you the engine...

Would i be safer running a type r ecu?? Someone told me to increase the fuel pressure and set the timing at zero. I am just trying to figure out how to go about this. Thanks.

if anything get a hold of a wideband, then up the pressure accordingly, i wouldnt risk washing down the rings or running too lean...its your best bet...

I would run the type R ecu over the GsR for sure though...

you can fire it up and run it on the stock computer. dont even think about driving it hard at all until you can get a good tuner to tune that ECU.

i would bump the fuel pressure up and keep the timing retarded down just to be safe.
