Default Power dropoff @ 8500ish???

I went and had my car dynoed last night and have a strange issue of the power falling off almost drastically around 83 to 8500 what kind of things could cause this. Airflow issues maybe?

8500 rpm? My engine would be pushing up daisies at 8500 RPM. How high do you want to go?

well that normally has to do with your setup.. depends on camshaft mostly.

Depends on camshaft and intake manifold mostly. Unless you've got so decently modified stuff then I'm not suprised you are falling off at 8500.

Sorry for the in between time and vagueness in my posts I am always low key with my vitals. I have bc4 cams, stock gsr mani. and tb but both ported and polished and butterflies removed and the holes from them welded essentially leaving a 2" spacer. I do not have my hondata installed yet, but was trying to break 200 whp without it, only made it to 194

Also forgot to mention that at the same time the power and torque fall off, the afr also takes the same semi drastic dip into the rich side, hence the thought about airflow being insufficient.

If you are seeing a power drop off combined with extra rich condition....I'd say its a pretty safe assumption that you aren't getting enough air. Which is strange considering that the BC4's are (if I'm not wrong) a high RPM cam.

they perform well @ high rpm but a little better for midrange then the s2stg2's. My CR is approx. 12:1 ish maybe slightly under. I have a gsr head on type-r bottom.
