Default Civic Worth?

I have a 93 civic dx hatch. Body is in BAD shape. Spot rust all over, back fenders are eaten up pretty bad from rust, couple dents, cracked front bumper, front right headlight loose, decent sized dent in hood. Interior isnt in horrible shape but far from being good. Automatic. Motor has 286k on it. Car still runs good though. Burns a little bit of oil. Has been sitting for about 5 months now and still starts up and runs. Inspection ran out so it would need inspection, I never had any problem with it passing inspection before though. Im from Southwest PA, bout 45 miles south of Pittsburgh. Just wondering if anyone could give me an estimate of the value of the car. I think im gonna sell it to fix engine in 92 cx. Anything i get out of it would be worth more than what its doin for me now(just sittin takin up space). Ne help? Thanks

kelleybluebook.com (or kbb.com) is your best bet, but i'd probably take atleast a 500 off due to the rust and damage.

I tried kelly blue book and it gave some insane figure of like 1400 dollars n that was rating the body and interior poorly. I was just seeing if anyone on here had any ideas. thanks

Without seeing the car and simply judging by your description, I'd say somewhere around $250-$300.

KBB will always say the car is worth more than it would actually sell for.

mine has 210k on it (newer motor has less) but paint is bad and it says it would go for 3500 (93 civic lx)

for your car i would say anyone with half a brain wouldnt pay more than 1k. but a more reasonable price would be 500 - 700

I bought a 93 CX hatch with the body in ok shape for $200. They couldn't figure out why it didn't run. I did. I resold it to my brother for $800.

I would pay more than a $1000 for that car, if it's the way you described it.

If you put pics up, we would get a better idea on how much it's worth.

I would take 200 and be happy, the car is going to need a motor and the body is beyond repair(from what the description said), and it has been sitting who knows whats leaking now

I doubt you'd have any trouble getting $500. Probably not too much more though.
