I have this amp http://www.audio-warehouse.com...l.asp
and two of these subs Sony Xplod LS122P5
I want to buy an amp installation kit but do not know what to buy. My amp is 2000w but from all the amp kits I saw at best buy they were only good up to 1500w. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/ol...76667
I am a total newb at audio and I need to kknow what to get to hook this all up. Do I need 8gauge 4 gauge 2gauge or what? Also what fuses will I need?

2000W
Tell me this, what size is the fuse/s in the amp?
I have looked and T can't find a the specs for that amp, but I would be very surprised if the 2000W rating is anything but a peak rating, [WSBL] let me know what size the fuse is or if you have a home page for Legacy Audio.

did u see the link I jus posted above? i think its 1200

First link is for the LA2060 amp, the second link is for the same amp, the link I gave you is from your second link, at bottom of page "Item Manual LA2060 Click"
and yes the amp that it shows is the LA560, but if you scroll down to page 17 like I said you will find the spec sheet and it includes the LA2060.
Do not change the fuses in the amp, you can damage the amp, the reason I asked for the fuse size is if you don't have a spec sheet the size of the fuse will tell you how much power the amp is capable of making, 2 30A fuses is 60A, the amp is not capable of making 2000W rms, take my word for it, you need a hell of a lot more then 60A to make 2000W rms, so what you have is a peak rating, and again the 4 ga amp kit will work just fine.

The 2000W on the amp and the specs they give refers to "peak" output power, it's the total max power the amp will make both ch. driven.
All amp specs will give you a number of watt ratings "RMS" per. ch. into into differant impedance's, [loads] 1ohm, 2ohm, 4ohm they may also give you that at differant voltages 12.5V to 14.5V, they will also give them to you in "peak" ratings, also into differant loads, and at differant volts.
Some manufacturers will take the total peak rating at the lowest load the amp is stable at the highest volts and stick that on there amp.
That's how you get an amp that is a 250W x 2 into a 4ohm load, presto chango, into a 2000W amp. It's called fudging the numbers.
