Default Suspension?

Sup everyone,

I want to improve my suspension. i'm pretty knew at all this car stuff, so If you guys don't mind answering some of my questions, that would be greatly appreciated. I currently have 94 LS Teg.

1.) I want to drop my car, so if i drop my car, are my wheels going to slant? On some cars that I've seen, their tires were slanted due to the drop. Is there something out there in the market to prevent the unwearness of the tires from slanting?

2.)I was wondering what is the best springs out there in the market for a good price? I dont want to slam the car although way down to the ground. All I want is a drop low enough to clear the gap between the car and wheel.

3.)And I was also wondering if i needed to change my stock shocks, I had them since I bought the car in 1998, from the dealer, so I don't know if they changed them. Any recommendation for shocks?

4.) I hear people talking bout camber kits, when there dropping there car. if someone could fill me in what is the purpose camber kit is that would be helpful.?

I know this is a pretty long question but, if you guys could kindly help me out with these questions I would really appreaciate the help. Thank you

well, basically your first question is answered by your fouth. the camber kit is to adjust the 'slanting' problem the wheel faces after the car has been dropped.

and the best springs in the market would be the ones that will best suit your daily/track needs. personally, i would go with brands such as eibach, neuspeed, and h&r. you cant go wrong with either of them i'd consider buying eibach pro-kit if i was i was on a budget because they lower about 1.3-1.5" and with that less of a drop, aftermarket shocks and a camber kit is not necessary. i believe a drop up to 2" would be good with out a camber kit, however, all cars are different. if you want a more agressive drop of about 1.75, i'd stick with neuspeed sport springs or eibach sportlines...

it is a good idea to upgrade shocks, if you dont want a bumpy ride, if your not a handyman with the car...save yourself the labor money and upgrade all items at once. koni, tokico, and kyb seem to be the popular brand of shocks.

hoped that helped.
