no more BS how do I reprogram LS OBD2 ECU
ok I have an LS (thats right NO VTEC people) I have almost every possible engine modification available for it. Now my ECU doesnt like this, and I need to raise my redline to 8k rpm. How can I do this with my existing ECU does anyone reprogram OBD2 ecu's?
From what I've heard, the ODB-II ECU's have the rom and the microprocessor in the same chip. That's why it's so hard to reprogram them.. But, I have heard that Hondata is close to cracking the OBD-II programs, so I'd expect to see something within the next 6 months from them.
Best bet is to go with OBD-I ECU and harness, and get Hondata.

Yeah, as of now, no one can reprogram the OBDII chips. Best option is to swap for an OBDI, and use a Hondata. An alternative would be a piggy-back system, like the AFC.
Just curious, why the need for such a high redline? Without VTEC or some fairly radical cams, you're not going to be making much power up there.

try hitting up G-Force. they can reprogram OBD2 ecu's, but it's not gonna be under $200. So have some $$ ready.
oh woops..i guess G-force isn't around anymore....check it out

dynospot can do the OBD2 ecu. They have been doing it for a while, except for the price, most seem to be going with the hondata because they are also a dealer for hondata.
if you dont mind sending your ECU to canada Yosio from japanese automotive is a Techtom ECU programmer and one of the best ECU tuners in the world. (so i've heard) they do OBD2 ECU's but are pretty expensive.
