HX Turbo
Any of the kits made for the Civic will work. The only issue is the exhaust. If it was made for the EX then you are going to have to relocate the cat and cut your exhaust back to under the car instead of it flowing all the way up in front of the engine.
Just get an EX cat and EX spec catback, or have a shop custom make you a test pipe and use any EX spex catback. (Factory Si catback is a cheap alternative over D16 piping).
The only issue is the fact that it has such tall gearing.
Any D series tranny of same generation will bolt on. It would be very benificail if you plan on going turbo on the HX to get a EX transmission with a LSD (gear type).

You mean because the VTEC is engaged too long!?! starts at 2700 (if pedal is smashed)
Fuel maps: You totally have my vote, get a VAFC if you plan on running the HX ECU.

But, if you use a VAFC or a different ECU then you would have a proper or more desirable VTEC engagement wouldn't you?
Or you could just purchase an EX head, have it ported and polished while you run around on the HX head.

Why is VTEC enganged too long a bad thing?

yeah spade...you could infact do that...how is the low cam on the HX though....would this set up make very little power, or would it be comperable to the ex
Low cam sucks!!!
It....hm how to explain......well, the horsepower on the low cam is 50ish at 3000!
If that.
Basically even though the low lobe opens, it almost feels like I am driving around on a 12 valve engine.
Spade - Who doesn't really drive around under 3200 RPM and shifts at 5000 daily driving. aand and and, clutch isn't fully let out with the RPM's lower than 2000 from a stop.
EDIT: If the EX tranny was used then you would always be on the high cam anyway so, you would save on gas but, if your installing a turbo you can kiss that goodby to begin with anyway.

oh my! well....I guess to sum it all up...Turbo-ing the HX can be done w/ the help of a VAFC....any EX kit will work, and you may, or may not be happy w/ your results
