check engine light but no codes on ecu?????
ok i just completed my ls swap into my 89 civic dx..there is no fire but any ways this is diff question...the check engine light stays on the whole time the ign. is turned to the on postion???and the ecu is throwing no codes???what code this be?? i looke in my shitty haynes man. and it said code zero is a faulty ecu..well i changed ecu with a friend whose ecu runs his car and the same thing only with his the relay behind the coin pocket (drivers side)make this clicking nosie really fast??? what the hell does that mean? on the proable cause part of my man. it says INSPECT NUMBER 1 FUSE..REPLACE IF NESS.AND CHECK FOR OPEN CIRCUIT IN YEL. WIRE B/W #1 FUSE AND COMBINATION METER....what does that mean??where is #1 fuse is it the ecu fuse under the hood??please help any suggestions are greatly appericated thanks.......
your the guy that wired your car from a dx to si right? you wired somehting wrong.. in the injectors somewhere.. the relay did that to me too.. good luck. your going to need it.. unless you change all the underdash to an si.. like how i did.. i got an extra underdash si harness for sale. it's off a 91... didn't work in my 89.. 75 shipped..
no i did a ls swap into my dx...and i dont need a dash wiring harness for a '91 i know my dx one will work but about the clicking it is from using my friends ecu..and also i forgot to say that the injectors are pumping the whole time my ign. is turned on..what could cause this?????
If you did a dual point injection to port injection conversion, then you probably put the new injector wires for 2 an 4 in the wrong place. There are some power wires on the opposite end of the A plug that if disconnected will cause this problem. Most likely the 2 and 4 injector wires are in A13 and A9 not A3 and A7 where they belong.
