Default Idle/ Electrical Problem

I put a used header on my '98. It came with a o2 sensor and harness extension. The extension had a short in the wires and blew the alternator and fuse. Since then I have replaced the alternator, fuse, and battery. The idle now jumps about 750 rpm when I am slowing to a stop. It will settle back down and then jump up again when I am stopped. In addition to this the lights will dim as the engine does this idle dance. I took it to a shop yesterday and the alternator and battery are putting out the correct voltage so they said it was fine. It is obviously some kind of electrical problem because it still does it. Help! Any ideas? It worked fine before I started the header "project". Let me know what you guys think.

Hey man if you are in Tulsa why dont you just run it to Humble or Xtreme. Both should be able to figure out the situation and if they cant take it to 4 star they are the shizzle.
