Did a 14.7 on my LS Hatch back in the day when it was stock. And that was on crappy tires.

I ran 14.7 in my DOHC ZC/ZC tranny crx when it hooked up and was pretty much equal with most B hatches I've raced. Some of them I would get them in 1st but then be even and stay about 1/2 car length ahead.

Crappy tires...define crappy tires...its quite often I hear people say crappy tires, and they run a 14.7, then get 'good' tires, like Kumho Supra 712s, and run a 14.7 again. Most of the time, crappy tires ($60 tires), hook up better than the 'good' tires ($115 tires). Don't know if you mean, no tread BF Goodrich winter tires, or just crappy tires, because they say Mastercraft on the side.

crappy tires + good track = okay times

good tires + bad track = okay times

GOOD TIRES + GOOD TRACK = GOOD TIMES!

Assuming you're a good driver & know how to prep in all the examples above.

I would guesstimate a 16.7 with LS trans @ L.A.C.R (high elevation)

maybe 16.2 with b16trans...

Back in the day I think I ran a high 15 on a bone stock LS 96 hatch. Then again I can't drag race worth a poop.

Thats what I believe from my experience of owning both B16's and LS's, but many will disagree with you. However, though most of those people dont have direct experience either.

LS w/ B16 tranny =

firts time ever at the track, pulled a 15.3 @ 89 with a 2.3 60'. So i know it could be better. This is in a full weight Si by the way so i know other trim hatches could hit 14's

ls stock = 14.8, ls with b16 = 14.6; runs done in alaska at the alaska raceway park. ls + 404 + ERE ECU +ERE TB+ RSA intake + b16 trans + suspension = 13.7
