Default 98 spec type r in a 94 ls?

I did a search but did not find what I was looking for? I want to swap a type r into my 94 ls but not sure of what all I need to switch and need to keep?

I believe the hybrid forum may be of more help. Additionally, I am sure there is a decent amount of information about this on H-T. Perhaps you should revise your search criteria.

Ill be nice since Im a Texan too.

You will need an OBD1 GSR engine harness. Some sort of chipped P28. Entire engine, transmission, etc etc. All your mounts would be the same.

Hybrid forum on this board would know all your answers to the swap.

Migs is in Dallas-area. I want to say Richardson but that's probably wrong.

(As already noted, the Hybrid forum is where you want to be. Few people in here have swapped a B18C5 into an LS, but it's been done dozens of times in other forums).

Make sure the engine you get still has a VIN and block code not ground off. A lot of B18C5's are hot.

Also, yeah, Search is good. There's tens of millions of posts on this board, and lots of swaps have been done. (Want an H22 in the trunk of your Integra? No problem! )

Great thread to start in:

Actually, Erik95LS has a B18C5 in his car, but he started with a whole totalled ITR. You could try him, he's got that West Virginia friendly thing going for him.

Okie dokie then. Since you realize this is not the best place for the post, ask a mod to move it to the hybrid forum!

or just add the few wires to the chassis side of the engine-bay harness already in the car.
