OPINIONS NEEDED
hey u guys i am at quite the crossroads with my first generation b16 CRX Si.
a. my options are to go to a shop and have them do a full b20z w/ a 98 del sol head for 1500, and a new AEBS intake manifold, and i mean put this in all the oil lines and such. and i would give them two stickers on my car and my b16 + 1500
b. build my current b16, for idk whatever 1500 can get be, be a torqueless wonder
c. go with a ls vtec and whatever 1500-the bottom end, can get me
d. just turbo my b16, and c how long it take to blow my **** up
so choose, and please explain your answers. thanks u guys.
P.S. and there will be another 1000 added to the budget in like three more months. and my goal is for high 12s

If all you want is high 12's you can keep your stock internal b16..They can handle 300hp+ and thats enough to get into the 11's with slicks in our light *** cars..Do a homemade turbo setup..
Well here we go! Ok if you want to run 12's you should rebuild the B16. Turbo it! And then get a nice DPI N2O setup! Tuning time; some slicks with a full gutted interior and driver experience. You should be good to go! Project should cost should be around 3500-5000 bucks depending on the parts you want! Have Fun I hope it goes well!!

As long as the tuning is done right, you can have a reliable, boosted B16. Since your car is light, you won't need to make too much horsepower to be quick.

your stock sleeves will handle 10-15 psi , the very important key is tuning ie. octane, timing, etc. what will kill your motor is detonation, over reving, improper tuning etc. and w/ boost these stresses are amplified. tuning is everything.

Building a 12sec all motor B16 is going to cost a lot of money.
A turbo will get you there for less money.
