Default D16Z6 swap

My name is Don

I own a 1995 Honda Civic Hatchback VX I.E. V-TechE
It has a D15Z1 Manual tranny

I have a D16Z6 engine,manual tranny,axles, and ECU.
I don't know if this will bolt right into my car.
If you know anything else i might need, can you please tell me.
Thanx

Plug and play my friend. Plug and play. I'm not sure, but you may have to do some wiring for vtak. Not 100% sure though.

How long did it take you to do the swap
I have a two week period of time to do everything
Lable wires and hoses
Unbolt everything
Drop motor
Put new motor in and plug junk in.

IIRC, the VX uses the 5-wire wideband o2 sensor. Meaning...you'll have to rewire that part of the VX harness for the 4-wire narrowband o2 sensor, or use the Z6's engine harness. Definately easier than the swap I did in my sig.

The two things to note is that you may have stuck axles (rusted into hubs), and most definately a problem with the 'bitch pin'. That's the pin holding the shift linkage to the tranny. 8mm bolt (or centerpunch with a lip machined into it) will do it. For the axles, swing the LCA's away, or just keep pounding them with a 4lb sledge like I had to. Also, make sure to get the motor mount bolts barely snug, then once they're all in, tighten them up (for no preload on rubber in mounts).

Post pics in the correct place, such as a "how-to" article, and in a correct size, as big as you can without having to scroll sideways to see the whole thing. You just aren't suppost to do this in every post you make.

...You pull the old motor, put in the new motor and drive away. This is a direct replacement swap.

Can we be any more clear?
