removing rear seats in 5th gen sh
i remember having two clips under the seats where the seats touch the carpet... remeber to pull those clips before trying to remove the seats... everything else should be easy... a few bolts and done deal
I think they are just like the 4th Gen rear seats. If so, reach under the front of the seat cushion and you will feel a plastic tabs that can be pulled towards the front of the car. There should be two tabs for each seat cushion.
Pull each one CAREFULLY forward and lightly pull the seat cushion up. It will come out pretty easily

there are only two plastic tabs to pull, one on each side about half way thru each sides cushion. also there is a 10mm (may be 12mm) bolt by the seat belts in the center that holds the bottom cushion on. thats it.
i just did it last week. Pull the tabs, and lift the bottom part out. The top part is secured with two L brackets on the lower part of the rear, connecting the rear section to the inner quarter panels.
Its easy, took me 5 min.

weight is one thing but if you ask some people, a stripped interior just looks sick. It's 100% a matter of opionion, but right now, I like the look of a stripped interior.
To each his own.
