Default exhaust tubing size?

i know that this has been asked before, but what size tubing should i get for my custom exhaust i can get either 2" or 2.25" the car is a 95 hatch with d15b vtec engine. also how loud will it be if its straight with a cherry bomb turbo muffler at the back. i don't care about the sound i just don't wan't to get pulled over on the way to the track.

2" should be good if you don't turbo.... if you turbo, use 2.5"

all motor H22s run 2.25 until about 200 whp then use 2.50 from there.

i bet there are less than 20 all motor d-series engines in the US that would gain anything from 2.5

so, say i use 2", will i gain some top end as well as bottom end? take power from the bottom and put it up top? simply flatten out the power curve so that the power doesn't drop before the redline?

i say stick with a 2.25" its kinda in the middle its not super optimal with what you got now but when you add more bolt ons youll have the exhaust for it. and no on the cherry bomb
