Turboing my 98 LS..wondering about axles????????
If you do lots of hard launches/hard shifts, then even performance axles won't last long. This goes even more for stock ones.
I was near 400whp on stock remanufactured axles. I couldn't justify spending $350+ on a single axle from DSS or a similar manufacturer. Lifetime warranty replacement axles from Pep Boys/Autozone are good enough for me.
On daily driving, if I layed into the gas easily, then they were fine. A hard launch on slicks killed it on one shot (I also had a 4 puck unsprung hub). And after about 20 hard shifts to second/third, and the axle would start clicking.

if anything, itll make axles wear faster...i think..since both will be putting down power instead of one..
maybe im wrong tho..

Stick with the lifetime warranty auto zone axles.
I drive my car hard, i'll admit it, i break an axle about once every 6 months, takes like 20 mins to replace it and doesnt cost me anything, rather then getting aftermarket axles for 300 bucks a pop, and still breaking them b/c i drive my car too hard.
