Default squeaking noise from pass side wheel well.

So recently there has been an annoying squeaking noise coming from my wheel well. its been getting worst. i noticed it while driving and went to that side and tried pushing down the car its a loud squeak. sounds like unoiled door hinge opening and closing. It kinda sounds like it could be coming from the shock. but im not sure. I have KYB AGX shock on my 94 civic coupe. they're about a year and a half old with eiback sportline springs. does anyone have any Ideas. I hope i dont have to buy new ones.

P.S. the ride feels fine i havent noticed anything different.

when my stock front right shock was blown, if you pushed down on the car on that side it would squeak like hell. i'd check yuor shock, take your wheel off or turn your wheels and look at the shock and see if there is any leaking fluid from your shock.

I have that same squeak! I had it before and after my strut and spring replacement. I also replaced the rack just for the hell of it. I have it down to either the axle or the lower ball joint. If anyone else has some ideas let us know. Bump!

I dunno. I dont really doubt it's the shock, cus when i put weight on that side it squeaks even if i try to lift it, same thing. it sounds like something needs oil but its coming from right behind the rim. I really dont feel like buying new shocks so i wish it was something else. I'm gonna have to take the rim off and investigate either way just dont have time till next weekend maybe. I just want to prepare myself for the blow unexpected $$ blow.

one thing that happened to me almsot constantly was i would get a rock or something small stuck behind the rotor between the dust sheild and the rotor.... when i pushed on the car, or turned and it flexed the frotn end a bit the rock would touch the rotor and sqeeeeel....

a quick fix is to push the dust sheild(metal backing plate) away from the rotor and see if the debris comes out....

sometimes you have to take the wheel off and actually look to find it and get it out...

just another option for you

Just take some WD-40 and spray all over the squeeking spring...

And also make sure to spray the spot where springs "sits" on the shock...

I am 99% sure the squeek will go away...

If it doesn't go away, try spraying over balljoints and everything "rubber"...

If WD-40 doesn't solve your problem, you might want to reconsider taking it to the mechanic...

What about lower ball joint or axle. I know my sqeak has nothing to do with bushings or struts/springs.

I guess you dont know much. They get dry and start to sqeak or if you install new ES bushings and dont lube them enough they will sqeak!

Hmm... Ok. First off smart ***. If you had read the post... I had the sqeak before and after doing my suspension. The sqeak is coming from around the axle or lower ball joint. That is why I even suggested the idea.

I had a squeak like that this summer. I thought it was suspension bushings too. It turned out to be that little rubber hat that sits on top of the spring. It had somehow shifted off center, and every time i would push on that corner of the car, it would squeak. After I re-centered that little 'hat' (for lack of a better word), the squeaking completely went away and hasn't come back. It's probably unlikely that you have the same problem, but its something to check.

my upper control arm was the cause of my squeak. the bushings near where it mounts to the shock tower were squeaking, i lubed them with a spray lube and the noise went away. it might be worth a shot. hope this helps.

Ill try but I have new bushings. The only thing that hasnt been changed is the axle and lower ball joint. That is why I was asking if it could be that.

Here it is since there is some confusion. On my car it sqeaked before and after suspension replacement. I have new upper control arms and bushings and it still sqeaks. The sqeak is come from around the axle or ball joint. Has no one ever had this specific problem.
