reset idle speed....

1. warm up engine
2. Turn off all loads and disconnect IAC
3. Adjust idle screw so engine idles around 480
4. Shut off car, reset computer and plug in IAC
5. Start car and let it idle for 5 minutes

Should be cool after that, unless you got mechanical problems

Do you know where your IAC is? If not its behind your manifold.

I recommend getting a digital timing light, they tell you correct engine speed.

ok, my idle seem to be ok, but now i have a bigger problem. i notice when i was waiting for my car to warm up, my fan neve turned on. so i thought it was slow, i finish up the process of what Evs-One told me to do than was suprize it fixed my idle, but than i look at my temp and it was about to overheat! i dont know when my fan stop working but i was driving about an hour earlier and the needle didn't go anywhere near the middle. i had the temp in the car's climate control **** on hot when i was driving but did not turn on the climate fan. i didn't see the neddle go up on the temp gauge, but now my car's radiator fan wont go on and my car is close to overheating, needle goes close to up high and i stop and here i am now on honda-tech. asking you guys. HELP

that little line right above the zero is 500. some people mistake it for 100 or 200 and think that they are idling lower than they actually are

did you check your fan fuse? Also did you check to make sure everything was plugged in correctly for it to work?

This is what I did when I had a 3k cold idle and a 2.5k warm idle.

1. Take off your TB.
2. Under your TB should be your FITV.
3. There are 3 screws holding that on. Unscrew it.
4. There is a cap on the FITV with two Phillips screw. Take that off.
5. Inside, there is a white diaphram, if it is backed out, turn the white screw with your hands in a couple of turns. Keep doing this until your idle gets better.

If it does, you know it's either a fuse/relay/connection/sensor, etc

oh, thanks you guys, my radiator fan works now, it turn out, ther was a harness near the dizzy that was unplug. but as i was raeding, duggy post his directions to check out the FITV. i have tried doing that before, i took off the throttle body and stuff and can't seem to find the FITV. could my car be missing this? would a car run if it was missing this? what does the FITV look like and how big is it? maybe i'll take it off again and give it another shot.
