datalogging question.
Hi, i just got a laptop for free, i want to get a RTP kit, however the laptop is windows 98, can somone tell me what software i need to get. civic with p28. thanks for the help
If you just want to record/view all your sensors without integration into a programming software, then ECUControl would be a good starting point. Otherwise, Crome (not free for datalogging purpose, but well worth the extra $) or Uberdata (free with datalogging) would be a good choice.

Also, make sure you have the J12 Jumper removed from your ECU for proper datalogging. As far as Win98 is concerned, I've noticed that my Win98 laptop (Dell Inspiron 3000 - 32 MB RAM, Slow) doesn't display the live data in real time. The needles seem to have a delay in them by a fraction of a second. They act a little jumpy. However, my newer laptop (Dell Inspiron 8200 - WinXP, 512 MB RAM) runs it fine, guages are smooth, etc. Make sure you have Datalogging enabled in the ROM and that you have a Win98 driver for your datalogging cable. I recommend Crome for tuning, and it has a "DL/RTP" plugin you can choose to enable this function. If you do go with Uberdata, I think Datalogging is automatically integrated into the ROM. Good luck.
