There are several members who have this intake on their R's.

They don't make the V2 for the R, so when it says vtec, it means GSR. I'd get the non-vtec one to be safe because the throttle body is in the same place as the R unlike the GSR.

I thought they didn't make a V2 for the R because they found it made no gains over the first version of their CAI. I wouldn't put an intake ment for another motor on my ITR....

it really doesnt give it anymore power and i think it is retarted that they make it but what ever if you want one its the 99-00 si because we have the same intake manifold as the 99-00 si

Exactly, if it's designed for a 160hp 1.6 liter, why the hell would you want it on your 195hp 1.8L ITR?

No, it is not.

http://www.aempower.com/product_intake_app.asp

They don't make a V2 for the Type R. What does that tell you?????? They couldn't make an intake that showed any significant gains over their CAI for our cars.

Before you say you "think" something in a public forum, maybe you should do a little research so you can say that you "know". There have been multiple dyno comparisons of different intakes archived here.

Would a turbo fall under this category?

Sure. I wouldn't put a turbo from a 3 cylinder, or one ment for a big block V8 on my car.

Breathing is important. Why choke the flow?
