Infinity sub / repair
ok my sub quit working, but when i push down the positive wire going from the terminals to the voice coil it starts working again, kinda like there is a loose connection there.
is there any way to repair that? or is it fukt

i took a piece of spair wire and kinda wrapped it around the one on the sub, put a 9v batt on it and it makes sound, so its fixable it looks like, now i just need to find a way to get it on there permanently
any other ideas still appreicated

If the connection problem is at the term. it's not that hard, heat up the solder and pull the tinsel wire through a little bit more and re solder, however if the problem is at the connection on the cone it can be a real pain if not impossible, you need to remove the insulation, [epoxy] over and around the connection of the tinsel wire to the VC wire and re solder them if the problem is the solder connection, if it is a brake in the VC wire, as long as it's at the connection a little solder can fix it, after repairing re-epoxy the connection to the cone.
CAUSION solder can and will melt/burn a hole in the cone, connection must be lifted clear of cone and something, [that will not melt/burn] placed between cone and connection. Also the repair of the tinsel to VC wire is not easy and will take some skill and a lot of patience.
