Default Msd ignition question

im planning on buying the msd 6a but between the 6a and the 6al all there is a rev limit does that mean that with the 6a i have no redline????

it just means that you don't have the msd rev limiter. it's not really a big deal to havethe limiter.

**think of it this way...--> do you want to spend the extra money or so just to have a rev limiter.

so if i buy the 6a i have no redline whatsoever. isnt the computer what determines the redline????

its a rev. limiter... which is different from redline.. and i dont think you want to take your car to the limiter anyways unless you are built for it, or you will just beat the hell out of your motor

the ECU's limiter is harder on the motor than the MSD's limiter. if you're the kind that crashes into your limiter, get the MSD one.

BTW, pretty much everyone i've talked to says the MSD 6A/6AL setup is pretty bad for a daily driver. most have problems with it spontaneously dying and leaving them stranded within a year or so. just a "heads up."
