Did I blow my head gasket???
Okay.....
I noticed smoke comming from the drivers side of my car; I looked at my temperature gauge and noticed that my car was running hot; I get into my drive way, pop my hood, and the car begins to smoke very hard; I notice oil all over the head towards the back of the engine. This all happened suddenly.
Will I need a new motor? (b16a
)
Does this sound like I just need to replace the head gasket, and make sure that the surface is smooth?
Mind you my car has never ran hot before, and this motor was swapped back in may; I replaced all the seals and gaskets at that time.

it very well could be your head gazket but if i was you i would let it cool down and do a pressure check on the coolant that way if it is your gazket coolant will come off the bottom of the head but thats just my 2 cents got pics?
I would check all of your coolant hoses first. You could have just blown a hose and the engine / head gasket may be fine. Check hoses, check coolant/oil levels, etc.
There are a few easy tests to determine ifyou blew a head gasket or not. If your hoses are fine I'd check your oil to see if it is chocolate milk in color. I would also crank your car w/o a radiator cap and see if pressure comes out of the radiator.
If your head gasket is blown you do not have to replace your engine. You need to replace your head gasket though.
