Default Euro R cams, and IM question...( searched)

ok, i want to do something different, so im going to go with Euro R stuff. i hear the Euro cams and the JDM type S cams are pretty much the same, and i definately want the euro R manifold, but my question is, if i were to upgrade to the euro R cams, would i need upgraded springs and retainers? my motor is relatively new, and i currently have S2S1 cams in it, so would i really need to upgrade? and two, would my motor have the compression needed, to use those cams? so would i need to go with pistons or a thinner head gasket? thanks for the help.

Yes, you can reuse your stock springs and retainers. And yes, you can run them with stock pistons and all. Basically a direct drop in

the cams would work better with 11:1, but you wont be missing too much with stock compression....

the manifold is a great choice, good luck with it
