that is what i ran for a while, 97 manual EX mani on 99 EX head....it works no prob.

yes but what is forgotten is that there are two different versions. some have a vacume port on the top of the intake flange. i think it was either a differance in the year 96-98/99-00 or a difference in if it was off an automatic or manual transmission equipt vehicle. get a pic or look at it first.
right...air injection. 96-98 didn't have it, 99-00 did, however, the manifold from an earlier y8 will work no problem on a 99-00 head...the heads themselves are not affected either way.
96-00 y8 manual intake manifolds had a 2 wire iacv on the back; y8 autos had a 3 wire iacv on the TB just like the y7's of the same vintage, w/ no iacv on the back of the manifold.
