Default Intermediate shaft wont bolt up!

EDIT : ENDED HAVING TO GET A GSR INTERMEDIATE

Alright, im putting a JDM B16A SiR II with a Y21 LSD tranny into my 97 Civic EX. I got an intermediate shaft from a friend because mine didnt come with one. He said its off a 94 up Teg he's pretty sure. Its got the male end on it for the CV's that I'm using. But here is the problem, i push it in the tranny and then the bolts line up but at the top it wont sit flush. Its like the tranny needs to be moved back or something. The transmission is all bolted up. Then I tried to tighten the bolts down on it and the shaft turned but seemed as if it was in a bind. I have a 98 B18B sitting in my shop also. We bolted it on that just fine. I cant figure out why this shaft wont sit flush. Any Ideas?

Im willing to bet $ that you have an automatic intermeadiate shaft. Ive bought 2 and what your describing sounds just like what I delt with... Auto shafts wont work, you have to have a manual one.

Good deal man. Its like the bolt holes line up and it goes into the transmission but it wont sit flush.

I called the guy I got it from and he said he's got one that he is for sure is from a 5 speed. So Im going to try that one now.

Yea, I had read that one before. But I called up Hasport and checked on here and the only B series ones that seem to be different are the Automatic and 5 Speed ones.
