I have a slight coolant leak coming from somewhere above my catalytic converter. Thing is, according to the location, I would figure the heater core... but theres no visible coolant/leaks on the firewall or anywhere near it.
I just swapped the motor so I don't see why the heater core would do this. Where is it coming from???

it's more likely to be the hose that connect to the heater core, i had a pin hole leaks there on my 16 years old acura, it's the same location too.
but we are all guess, pin it down and see if it's from there.
for the pin sized hole leak, you have to get the coolant moving to spot the source

That's what I thought too. I ran the car till it hit normal operating temp and then checked... nothing. No steam, no water, no nothing.

As mentioned elsewhere (and I'll repeat) check either the hoses to the Hot Water Control Valve, or the valve itself.
If you're loosing coolant, but can't see where it's leaking may point to two locations:
1) Heater Core (Fluid shows up INSIDE the passanger compartment (Wet carpet at passangers' feet))
2) Water Pump (Traditionally leaks with engine cold and not running).

if it was the heater core it would leak inside the car... water pump would leak at left side of engine.. above the cat,, i would look at heater valve and hoses...also look at the bypass hoses behing intake manifold ..........If u have a pressure tester, pressure test system and leak should show

Ok, now I'm confused... I let the car sit and get warm earlier and it leaked. I filled it up and I took the car for a drive later this evening. When I returned I let it sit and idle while I checked the under-carriage.... Nothing!!!
I did nothing to the cooling system but refill it. What the hell is going on?!?!?!?

maybe leaky coolant lines to/from fitv or iacv. maybe on the hard water pipe, since you replaced your motor some of those must come off...
