I have a JL 10w7 powerd by a 500/1. I hate to part with it, but I think I have outgrown my super loud days, and it takes up all of my trunk. I am looking for a smaller speaker that puts out a really good sound w/o taking up most of my trunk. I thought about the 8w7, but the mounting depth is so deep, and im basically in the same place.

If you have any ideas, post them up. I was looking at elemental designs stuff: http://edesignaudio.com/category.php?type=subs, but i have never heard them in person, nor are there any sound clips. They are a good company, but I dont know.

 

If your looking at something else for hard hitting sound quality in a small sealed enclosure, I'd highly recommend Resonant Engineering SE product line.

I recommend these too. Elemental Designs Select 130v.2, Image Dynamics IDMAX10D4 V.3, as well as the 10.1D Infinity Kappa Perfect.

how would a sound clip do you any good?

im just looking for options now. i am finding it hard to part from my speaker
