Default Idle Control Valve

Whats the cheapest place to get? My idle keeps surging after warmup and sometimes, my car feels like its bogging then I let go of gas and get on it again and its fine...any ideas? Thanks.

Well, you want to make sure that it is the culprit before you go spending money on a new one. This occurs after warmup, correct? So that rules out the FITV, if you have one.

You should try cleaning the IACV first and see if that remedies the problem. Most of the time it does.

I've cleaned my IACV like 5 times and it's never helped me once... i've been searching for an IACV for the past 2 years (i've delt with the stickey rev at 2krpms).

Let me give you an Example of the idiots i've had to deal with... call Pepboys, they tell me they have it in stock, $90 GREAT! drive my *** all the way there, "we don't carry that in stock, and it's $250. WHAT? go back home, just for the hell of it, i call again, yeah we have it, it's $179.

This happened at Pepboys, pretty much the same thing at Autozone. Murrays is like $300 and they were pretty solid on that price.

3 strikes for me, then i said TO HELL WITH IT

If you find one, please post where and how much you paid for it and what model it's for.

btw, i've got a '97 GSR
