drims help
How do i go about finding rims that will work on my 96 accord. I don't really get tire sizes and stuff, but the 96 accords have 15" tires stock, correct? Also, how much is the speedo effected with different size rims. I don't race or anything, so i don't care if they weigh alot and would slow acceleration or anything. Just want something different than the stock ones. Thanks.

The key thing with the speedometer is the diameter of the tire. Consequently, larger wheel means smaller tire. Tirerack.com has tire diameters for all different size tires. Decide what size rims you want to get, then find tires to fit the rim and are about the same diameter as the stock tires.

I don't think you can do that. You can probably go with something a little taller, but I wouldn't go overboard with it. Just to fill in more of the wheel well.

use this to figure out what will and will not mess up your speedo. i used 225/35 on my 18's and it kept my speedo the same, being calibrated for 195/60/15's.
you said though, that you dont care about performance, which is good, because there was a noticable diff between my 15's and 18's. but also gas mileage.. i harp on this all the time, and mr.blk knows this...
but my 18's cost me, on AVG 4 mpg.. but if you go w/the best ive ever gotten w/my 18's and the best ive gotten w/the stockers.. it would be closer to 7 mpg.
buy lightweight whatever you do..the extra money up front will save you in the long run. and if you want to fill in the wheel well, just lower it. 1.5 looks nice on our accords w/18's.

Yo Sony224422,
Use this link to match your sizes. Put your original size on one side, and the size your putting on, on the other side. This will tell you everything you need to know. There is know need to mess around with your speedo......Just put in both sizes and then read the bottom... If you match the tire sizes correctly, your speedo will be correct anyway...
