Yeap, just installed the DC 4-1 CC about 2 weeks ago. This past saturday went to rinse the engine out and WTF, I saw some small rust pitting
on it. Anything to prevent futher development of rust. Thanks.

Yeah SS will rust. I use mothers aluminum polish to get it off my greddy header. Go buy a can an poilish it up alone with any other metal parts.

He said he got a ceramic coated header. Stainless steel should not rust if it's decent quality.

oh damn he did get CC. Just about all SS headers out there will rust
i don't know the sientific reason, i'm speaking frome experience. Every SS header me and my friends have had will get surface rust. This includes Greddy and DC.
I believe it has something to do more with heat rather than typical moisture rust. I may be talking outta my *** though.

i have SS comptech headers...the headers didnt rust the part that connects the headers to the engine rusted...i dont know why ceramic would rust though
I had two cermaic headers for years and never rusted, both DC. I say take it back or talk to DC and maybe get another one from them, their rep is on the line and they are a good company for headers. And you did pay good money so you should get a good header. Unless you some how damaged the ceramic coating during install and chipped or wore it off, and the rust isn't a fluke...
