Default Car Speakers/stereo

Ask me any questions about Stereos. I've been there done that. In my 94 Accord i only have a regular Cd player and stock speakers that i'm getting ready to switch out myself. Here's my truck on Cardomain... http://www.cardomain.com/ride/740479

all aftermarket parts, speakers, sub, amp for sub, amp for speakers.
too much noise for my truck. i'm fine with just having aftermarket speakers in my Accord with only being powered by the CD player. u dont need an amp. unless you like thunder

That's exactly what I'm looking for. A Good set of 6x9 (preferably 3ways) and 6 1/2 or 5 1/4 for the front that gives good bass and mids and highs without distorting, and without a amps or boxes. Any names or idea's come to mind, let me know....

The only way to get decent mid/bass response from the rears is to use a baffle of some sort when installing the 6x9's. And even at that, you are not going to get a lot of bass. Just pair up an inexpensive mono sub-amp with your head unit and run a 10" or 12" in the trunk in a sealed enclosure. That's probably your best bang-for-the-buck.

If you really want good sound, with the full range of freq. But, you are not willing to deal with amps or subs or enclosures..... You really have one foot in and one foot out. You either need to be fully vested, or not care much IMHO.

Just you let you know that an amp will not make it thunder but will provide more power and more power will give you cleaner sound at all volumes!!

I am an ex-installer....kinda preachin' to the choir. I have a strong opinion because I have a full stereo, and I've been involved in mobile audio for years....that's all.

No speakers are going to give you a good sound when being powered by any headunit. At a MINIMUM, go to Wal-mart, Best Buy, or Circuit City. ::GAG, GASP, BARF:: and get a cheap-o $50 4-channel amp to run your highs. That measly 40-50watts RMS are gonna give you more pronounced, and fuller sound than the possibly 19-22watts a headunit will give you. I can't believe I just recommended them, but anywho...

GET AN AMP!
