Piston/Valve clearance issues with oversized valves.
hey...im planning on building a new LS turbo setup for next year..and heres what my setup will consist of :
B18b1 bottom end
B18b1 Head
Crower Turbo profile cams
Crower dual valve springs
Crower Titanium retainers
Crower 2mm oversized Intake valves
Crower 1mm oversized exhaust valves
JE 9.5:1 pistons w/valve reliefs
Eagle H beam rods
i wanted to offset the valves on the intake/exhaust sides of the head..because its easier for the exhaust side to push out the gasses, than it is for the intake side to allow air in,on a LS head..i plan on getting a port job,and a 3 angle valve job..as well as a 70mm TB,and skunk2 intake manifold...the only question i have is...how big is "too big" ??? will i be alright with 2mm oversized valves? or what is the highest i can go,without having to worry about the valve heads hitting the pistons,or anything of that nature? its hard to research, because not too many people build LS heads..someone please help me..because ive already started my build..and im moving onto my head in a couple of weeks.

Talk with who ever is porting your head.Over-sized valves in an unported head is a wasted effort.I believe +1mm is about it on stock valve seats.Bigger is not necessarily better.

You dont have to worry about the valve to piston clearance as much as you have to worry about the valve to valve clearance.
