New miller machine news
So I was at my local welding supply house and me and the sales guy started talking about the new machines. He said let me put aside all the rumors and call up miller. I said good luck, they told me they can't give me any information. He said, well you just got to know how to push them, and then he said, when I tell them you want to order 17 of them, I'm sure they will help out
So he found out the new machines will be put into production in January 06. They also said the pulser will be back.

I know some people are holding out, cause when the new machines come out, the older ones will drop in price.

Like me.
Even yet, Locally it cost $1560 for the miller sd180 w/cart. How lower in price will it get? I wonder if they will put them on sale in advance or not.

I would say by Feburary, March they should be out.
I have waited about 4 to 6 months to work everything out around here, then they tell me to wait a little longer. Sorry I can't any more.

i was at the local Miller dealer Friday.
he did confirm that there are new models.didn't know if these were completely new models,or updated current models.
he DID say that in years past(and he said there's no reason for it to change this year),when a model is updated/replaced,the older model is no longer produced.that means that supplies of the old model are limited to what distributors already have in stock.that also means that these machines that are now "old" will most likely sell for the regular price since the distributor paid their regular price for it.
i was trying to decide if i wanted to get a SW180,or wait to see if there was a new model coming out,or if the 180s they have in stock would drop in price after the new stuff comes out.he told me they did expect a new low-end AC/DC TIG model-maybe replace the Econotig and 180 with something in between.
sooo....i was planning to buy a new TIG setup this week.looks like now i'll at least wait until the new stuff comes out.
PLEASE update us as soon as anybody finds out
