You will need to run a ground from the switch as well.

So what ecu are you running? and on the oil lines... what are you talking about, all you have to do is remove the oil jet from the block.

the oil jet does not have to be tapped you only have to pull out a plug that is in it for the non-vtec motor. I put together a mini-me and it was a breeze. And you will definatly know if your VTEC is working or not so i dont think you should use a switch, just more wireing where something can go wrong. Just the right ecu, do an oil change with the correct amount of oil and there ya go.

There's no reason to do a 'toggle' switch. That's retarded.

Wire it in the way it's supposed to be, get the proper ECU, and enjoy. Jeeeze man making this way more complicated than it needs to be.

Okay your gonna buy a 2 prong switch... the noid just ground it to the chassis, then you need to run the signal wire from the noid to the spot wherever you're mounting the switch, then get a power source for the switch from the fuse box. There should be a empty spot for a female connector to plug in, when you find that spot run a wire from there to the same place you ran the noid wire to. Make your connections and you should be set... whenever you turn the key it powers the switch as an acc. then you just turn it on or off whenever you want.

Good Luck having to shift, hold the wheel, and turn on the switch all at the same time while paying att. to the road... or just always roll around with a buddy hand him the switch and whenever you want VTEC all you have to do is yell out, "VTAK!!1!!1!ONE"
