Any problems with Field VTEC/SFC on OBDI ecu?

Any problems with Field VTEC/SFC on OBDI ecu?
All,
I have had the common Field problems on my 98 GSR... weird ecu codes, no power after hitting a bump until I jiggle the unit, etc. Recent I got a Hondata stage 2 and obdi P28. Since it take a little work to unimstall the Fields unit I didn;t do so right away. Since I'm still on my Hondata base map I was running a little rich at idle, so I turned it on to lean out a little. It's been over a week since then I've had zero problems with the field unit. So, what I'm wondering is, were all the previous problems because the Field unit was designed for obdi?
