Default Purolator fuel filter sucks

Has anyone else had a problem with the Purolator fuel filter (part #F44870)? I just spent an hour and a half today trying to figure out why this POS won't fit right in my car. No matter how I try to attach the bottom flare opening to the filter, it keeps leaking from the bottom when I turn the car on the 2nd position. The old one I have in there is a couple years old and its the same exact brand and model number, except this old one is made in Israel whereas the new one is made in China. The older one also has a brass thread while the new one has the same crappy material the filter is made of. The fitment on the old one is also so much better than the new one. I'm going back to advanced to exchange with another brand.

Cliff notes: Purolator fuel filter sucks, I stink of gasoline.

I know, I've used them before and they were fine... just the ones they manufacture in China suck

Did the purolator come with replacement washers? I know the OEM fuel filters come with copper washers to replace the used ones, and I never had a problem with leaks with the OEM filters.

I used a Purolater fuel filter on my DA, and it seems perfect so far, so I guess they work fine on the 2nd Gens, but the design is different on later models.

teflon tape? that POS is suppose to come ready to go. It came with 3 copper washers, 2 big, one small, but it still didn't fit right. this was for my 94rs. i hope i just got a bad one, cause i use purolator for all my filters and this is making me lose confidence in their products.
