both doors leak, need some help please
like the topic says, my doors leak, and i need some help. with that out of the way my specific problem is that my doors leak to the inside of the door, the water is coming from the bottom of the window on the outside where the rubber gasket, i guess you could call it, is holding the window. i dont know for sure if maybe this is just a problem that is going to happen no matter what or if this is a problem with some part of my door. it wouldnt be such a problem if i didnt have some good aftermarket speakers and crossovers that keep getting wet and at the moment i still have my door panels off so water keeps splashing into my car. if anyone can help me with this problem lemme know please, if you have any questions about what i am asking about just say so and ill make some pics to show exactly what is goin on.
thanks for any help you can give

Sorry to hear about that man, water leaks are never fun. First off, what year is the car, and how much water is coming in. Secondly, on both doors, is the water coming in from the same spot?
Judging by your location, I'm guessing the sun is always out, and its possible, that your modlings have just dried out and started to crack, and thus your leak begins. I would take it to a window shop, and see what they can do to fix it, it might be an easy fix, I'm not sure. But this is the first time i've heard of this happening
Hope this helps

thanks for the help, yeah, both doors leak, my car is a 97, and its not a ton of water that makes it into the car, but a ton goes into the inside of the door, i dont have the plastic on it anymore and dont know if that was maybe keeping it out of the car at first. and yes it is the same spot on both sides, ill post a pic of where exaclty it is coming from as soon as i can find a good one(dont have a dig cam on me). yeah the sun is out quite a bit, and the car wasnt driven for a while. the odd thing is that the doors are from 2 different cars(was previously in a wreck on the drivers side) and they both leak from the same spot. anyways if you have anything else just leave me a holla and ill get that pic by the end of the night hopefully
thanks

Well I know that plastic lining paper that you talk of is to keep condensation off of the wires and what not, so it's there to protect the wires, not plug a leak, so I think we can cross that off the maybe list.
Yeah post a pic, and we can see from there, if you have any more questions just PM me.

aight, i got a pic, yes its my car, i found a pic a buddy had on the net for me, anyways it is the rubber part that is circled, you know, it has the sorta fuzzy stuff on it next to the window, that is where the water is coming from.
if my friend would ever get home i can maybe get you an interior pic, not absolutely sure, but hopefully i can, if you need it anyways.

Yeah, thats part of the window seal, more than likely it is cracked, well not more than likely it is. Take it to a window shop, have them look over it, see what they recommend.
awesome, thanks for all your help, it was just mainly confusing me because both of them were doing it, but ill take it to a shop, hopefully this weekend, if i can scrounge up some extra time. but thanks again
