ITR gas tank smaller than GSR's?
I'm beginning to think we have smaller tanks than GSR's.. My friend's GSR can easily reach 360 per tank and I can barely hit 240 before the gas light comes on.
Well, I wouldn't say I drive hard but since I bought the car new back in 00, I've never reach over 250 MPG even when I was breaking in the engine. I will try to baby the car after the next fill up and see how many miles I can get.

My gas mileage used to be the same when I was N/A. Now that I have put the turbo on my car and lowered the compression I get better gas mileage

They both hold 13.2 gallons and mileage is very similar.
Two possibilities: (a) You drive your ITR harder than he drives his GS-R. (b) You stop to fill it up when it doesn't take as much gas as your friend does.
Have you kept track of how many gallons you put in and how many miles you get on each tank? Figure out your miles per gallon over the course of several tankfuls, have your friend do the same, and you'll find that he might get a couple more miles per gallon but that's about it.

I compare both car's mileage when the fuel light comes on. I say this is pretty acurate as far as how much fuel was consumed and miles achieved. I can never break 260 since new. Not sure how some poeple can get 320+ for each tank. I better lighten up my right foot a bit and see. The car has no engine mods except for intake and exhaust and it's only 2700 lbs including the driver so I have taken some weight off the car. This sucks.
And I always keep track on the gallons pumped and miles acheived. Here's a short list:
243 mi with 11.255 gallons (the worst by far)
143 mi with 5.353 gallons
213 mi with 8.853 gallons
223 mi with 10.07 gallons

You're averaging around 23-24 mpg. That's similar to what most of us get in the ITR.
A normal mix of city and highway driving in a GS-R will generally produce 24-26 mpg. Maybe your friend is doing all highway miles? In the GS-R, I've gone 300 miles on a tank on a long trip, but never around town. And never 360 - NFW.
Maybe he has a Canadian car and he gets 360 km to a tank, not 360 miles.
j/k
You'll get more miles on each tankful if you drive another 50 miles after the light comes on, so you're filling it with 11-12 gallons instead of 8-10. That's probably what your friend is doing. It doesn't change your miles per gallon though.
