Default Front end wobble driving me INSANE!

I have a consistant wobble that is driving me nuts on my car (92 Civic chassis, Integra suspension, b18c motor/tranny).... here are the symptoms:

- Consistant with VEHICLE SPEED, not MOTOR SPEED
- Starts from 20mph all the way up to high speeds, no matter where throttle is
- Sounds like a constant thudthudthudthud...
- Wheel does NOT really shake bad (as if it were tires)
- Gets LOUDER when i turn to the left, becomes softer as i veer to the right
- I've narrowed it down to either the tranny or the half shaft
- It's coming from the passenger's side--to the left of the glovebox (basically)

So far, NOTHING has helped...

- Tires/wheels have been balanced
- New hub/bearings
- New axles (reman'd)
- New outer/inner tie rods
- New ball joints
- Rotors/brakes checked

PLEASE HELP, if your suggestion works for me, i'll paypal a reward!!

wow seeing this makes me wonder what could really be causing this.

mine does the same exact thing, and as yours.

did you get an alignment done? cause thats what im gonna try first before i start replacing parts.

i've had an alignment.....NOTHING WORKS, i've tried EVERYTHING lol.....sad....

i really do think it's either my tranny differential, OR the halfshaft....

what are the symptoms of a bad halfshaft/tranny?

Sounds like a cv shaft, since it gets worse when you turn left. Professionally installed?, you should have a warranty of some sort if they were new.

you have a bad wheel bearing. Has nothing to do with your cv shaft. Take your spindle off and have a new one pressed in and your problem will be gone.

sounds like a stupid answer to your question... but if you have aluminum wheels or have recently had your wheels off and didnt properly torque your wheels when you put them back on... it's possible that the lugs have come loose... I recently had this problem when i let a friend at the drag strip put one of my wheels back on my car trying to save some time and i got not more than 200 yards down the road and noticed that i had some vibration and "thud thud thud" noises coming from the front end. it was loose lugs...

oh and one other thing it MIGHT be... the carrier shaft that allows b-series engines to run equal length CV shafts may have come from your engine block.. this happened to my buddies b20 prelude.. it made some crazy thud noises and vibrated horribly.

He's replaced the wheel bearing already so that's not the culprit.

What kind of wheels are you running on your car? Have you ever heard of "Hub-Centric" rings? You should check it out if you're running aftermarket wheels. My friend had this same problem and it fixed it.

im also saying that there is a big problem with motor mounts breaking and it cause the motor to shake and cause noises but you have to double check on it becasuse may not look broken but it could be if inspected very carefully.!

I have a similar problem now. I got it all checked out recently and couldn't find the problem until I swapped the right front wheel with the back wheel. The sound moved from back to front and now I can feel the steering wheel vibrating. So it is either the unbalanced, dented front wheel or a flat spot on the tire from intense braking ( if it is even possible )
