Default tein strut wont settle into place!!!! been working all day and no luck!!!

i cant get one of the struts to settle into the thing that they sit in. The one on the left is totally in, but the right one will only go in half way, i have tried lubing it, driving the car up and down my driveway and hard braking going forward. Nothing works, its weird because the other one was no trouble at all. any suggestions?

did you mark the alignment of the strut/spring when you pull off the old setup? mostly it's you didn't align it right and the spring is sitting on the wrong way, look at the bottem on the spring and see if it ended at the little niche.

try turn the sucker see if you can get it align, if not you'll have to compress it down with a spring compressor which might or might not need to get the strut off the car.

No, i didnt mark **** . And yes it is sitting at that little niche that is about half way. Why would i have to use the spring compressor? Its the whole assembly that wont go down if i didnt make myself clear, and this is the front end. im pretty much ready to take the whole thing off if neccesary. should i take that thing that the strut sits in off(i dont know what its called, sorry) and start over?

are you talking about where the strut fits inside the fork, which is connected to the rest of the suspension by a long bolt passing through both ends?

So did you figure out why the strut wasn't fitting properly in the fork? I couldn't think of a good reason why it shouldn't...

Yeah, well the 10 hours included periodical brakes for burger king and watching tv . I also have never done anything like this before, so i was pretty much learning as i went.

These are the full basic kit

Yeah, i ended up taking off the fork and when i put it back on it slipped right in. It just needed the pressure off of it I think.

These are awesome, i absolutely LOVE how they ride. There seem to have been a few posts recently about people wondering if they should get lowering springs, or what kind of suspension upgrades they should do. I totally reccomend saving your money and getting these
