Default Tips For B16A

I'm quite new with B16A engine and not really familiar with VTEC itself. Could anyone give me a tips/advise on how to maintain/handle the engine interm of the maintenance (oil, timing belt. air filter) Plus I'm also quite confused with the VTEC function which I don't know in what RPM the VTEC will fully function for B16A. Some said between 7000-8000, but some said it should be lower. What is the exact RPM for its original ECU.

as for tips for maintaining the motor....change your oil every 3k or earlier if your going to romp it more then normal. I would just do a visual inspection every time you change your oil on the air filter and just check to make sure its clean.

as for Vtec i always thought it kicked at 5800...atleast thats what it says exactly on my vafc..but i have a type r ecu so who knows...

I'm 100% sure it's 5500 rpm, especially after owning a b16a2 with a CAI, you can hear it switch without straining to do so.

Oil changes - every 3000 miles or 3 months, which ever comes first.
Timing belt change - every 60k miles. I ran my original to 69k with no problems, but I was paranoid as ****.
Air filter - check it every few months, if it starts to get dirty replace it. I have a cone CAI on mine, I haven't checked it in over a year. Need to do that.
