Default Identify This Part...

Click on the image below and try to identify the part within the black square. Either a part name, part number, or where I could find one would be appreciated. Thanks

that piece is half of the front lower control arm. that is where the hole for the sway bar usually is. try the junk yard for that part, i think that honda only sells the whole arm complete.

It connects to the lca by 2 bolts, and then connects to a bushing which is connected to the frame. Does it have a special name other than "half of the front lower control arm" or a part number?

I'm just trying to identify the part. I thought it may have a special name or whatever. I didn't know it was considered to be a part of the lca. I'm either going to have to fix the one I have or go to the yard.

When you don't see the parts exploded & numbered seperately, it means its all one part. An example is the front upper arm & ball joint - package deal is marked with one part number.

The 92+ civics don't use a front radius arm like the DA tegs or ED civics - its like a reverse deal. That is the #1 reason they benifit so much with a traction bar - that 2 piece A-arm setup can move around a LOT.

Best place for that would be the junk yard, plain and simple. Honda will rape you for that part, people on HT are't usually removing the main suspention off their parts cars that often to sell. Its all thick cast iron, at worst it will have bad surface rust you can knock off with a wire wheel & paint.
