Removing Spoiler on DC2
You will need to do body work and paint for the wire harness (passenger ~1" diameter) and plastic stud (driver side ~1/2" diameter) holes. These will allow water to enter the hatch if they are not plugged.
You can see all six holes on the diagram

i've never done it before, and I dont know if the holes are accessable from the inside, but I think fiberglassing from the opposite side, and then filling from the top would be a good idea.
try http://www.autobody101.com in the forums and ask em. lots of intelligent autobody heads there.

The holes are accessible once you remove the hatch trim. You can weld or epoxy a metal plate behind the hole. The surface is then filled with body putty.

That is a great option if available.

I was thinking more along the lines of the rubber plugs, so if anyone has more info on those I am all ears. I will eventually get body work done, but my spoiler is scratched up right now + I like the wingless DC2 look. Thanks for all the replies.

I will eventually get it welded, but I will prolly plug them for now. So more info on where to buy the rubber plugs, I have seen many DC's with plugs so I know someone knows.

oh yeah.. i was just suggesting a more simple method as opposed to welding a metal plate to the back. w/ the fiberglass method, it would be easier for the untrained hands to accomplish that rather than welding.
another option is leading aka. body solder. it's usually used for adding lead to thinning metal, but i think it would work with the holes

Before i painted my car I used a getto but efficent way to plug my wing holes.
Step One: use a strong adhesive (duct) tape and place under your holes.
Step Two: cover the holes with several layers of touch up paint and let dry.
It never leaked and looked clean from a distance.

The plugs that you suggested will cover only four of the six holes. The ITRs can do this because the ITR spoiler does not have the LED brake light in the wing and the subsequent wiring harness.

Do you see the large hole for the wiring harness?
The geniuses at Honda placed these holes so other wings without LED brake lights (i.e. my Mugen SiR wing) do not cover these holes.
