Default Need to get my head ported bad ...

Hey guys I have a LS setup currently runs great but we reached the limits of the car... No matter what we do power stays about 500 wheel but we gain crazy torque. So in other words we out flow the head and I just wanted some opinions on who does good work. Also I am on a budget and cant get 2k for porting even though id like to. So toss me some good places to go for the racer on a budget.

Talk to Dan Paramore of DPR http://www.dprracing.com He's being doing heads longer than almost everyone and has results to back it up.

You'd probably be better off with a stock vtec head with good valvetrain than a ported ls head.

I agree w/Tony I always recommend a stock vtec head over a ported LS,it may cost more in the short term for the cross over but your better off.

He might not be popular right now, but I like Tom at Portflow.

http://www.portflow.com

He has treated people I know well, does a good job, and at a reasonable price. Nowadays there are a lot of good people working on Honda heads and well proven. Going to a stock VTEC is a good idea for the long run.

I'm using Dave at headgames in Trenton NJ (609)882-3211, He is very knowledgable about all heads from 4 to 8's and has a great shop! Reasonable also.

There are tons of guys out there that are great with their grinders. I would vote for the vtec head also. Ed at Eds Heads did both of our heads and we make good power. He is also a great guy to work with and very timely.
