Default J30A1 to 7th gen Accord V6 engine and tranny.

Sorry I couldn't find the 7th gen engine code. Anyway has anyone done this swap? I have a '98 CL 3.0 my tranny is going out I am weighing all my options (manual swap is not an option) and I've noticed complete drop outs from 7th gen Accords can be had for $2-$3k which is about what I’ll pay for a tranny rebuild. I wondering how hard this swap would be into my CL?

I have a complete motor, trans, ecu, wiring harness, axles, subframes, that i could sell you. The motor/trans has 47K on it, i could just take it out of the car (car is currently sitting) and ship you the entire thing, oh by the way its an 01 V6

I might just want the tranny but since my J30A1 is fine there would not be any reason to get yours. What I am considering is upgrading to the 7th gen motor/tranny since it I've read the tranny is better and it has 40-50 more hp. I just don't know how difficult it would be. Any thoughts??

Not sure i would imagine it wouldn't be to difficult. The only hard part would be mounting points. You would probably have to make custom mounts

I suspect the 7th gen has a J series engine (someone please tell me the code) and I also suspect the mounts on the engine/tranny are the same. I might be wrong but that is typically how Honda does it. Anyone know for sure??

wiring the beast is going to be an issue for you. You're going from an auto to a manual. Might want to pick up an ECU along with the tranny and engine.
