Hi, I have a stupid question that I cant seem to have answered??
Whats the deal with head studs and head bolts.
Im trying to purchase ARP bolts or studs but I dont know what to get.
What I wanna do is bolt my GSR head to my LS block.
Ive heard studs with nuts but the head comes stock with bolts.
Are they the same?????

stock motors use regular bolts
after market companies like arp and aebs use head studs. which is a stud that goes in the block and a separate washer and nut to bolt the head down
arp head studs are the way to go
you need the gsr/itr studs for lsvtec not the ls or b16 studs
