opinions on the greddy turbo kit for a GSR
I plan on getting the Greddy kit and fitting on a small side mount intercooler.
I'm keeping stock internals because Im going to be boosting at 5psi for daily driving and 7psi at the track. And its "carb legal."
Anyone have experience with this kit?

its a solid kit, powerband is different than that of a drag kit. the greddy kit is more midrange and the drag kit is more high range, hence the bigger gains w/ the drag kit. can't go open loop on the greddy kit cause its an internal wastegate... gains on an open wastegate are awesome. but also loud.
i have the greddy kit..goin on two years this summer. ive had no problems with it. i hardly race it. i gun it every now and then and drive "spiritedly". just took it to the local 1/8 track at qualcomm.. i didn't do as good as i wanted to (none of the turbo guys did) mainly because the track is too short. as soon as you hit 3rd gear the race is over... not enough time for the turbo to kick in. N/A cars were keeping up with me which gave them a boost in confidence (no pun intended)
i timed it once in the 1/4 and hit a 14.2@99 mph. theres other members with a greddy kit here that hit consistent 13s but i think im the only one w/ the greddy kit that hasn't
i need a clutch and better tires..oh yea and better driving skills
btw.. i'd be concerned about your car being obd I im not sure if the blue box will work... i'd just ditch the blue box and go w/ the missing link, fmu and fuel pump. but then again thats more money

I have heard great things about the fitment on the greddy kits. How hard is it to add one of their intercoolers to the kit?
I have decided on the greddy, since it is actually carb legal. I know that it is no longer legal with the intercooler, but I will have the sticker, and that is all that matters
Removing an intercooler is easier than removing a whole turbo kit. Since this will be my first venture into boost, I thought it would be a nice place to start. When my car is payed off, make way for the real kit

the 2500-3000 is the price without the intercooler right? If so i would get the revhard kit or drag kit. Ben had that groupbuy for like 3,199 and it had alot of freebies, and the revhard kit can be found for about that price also. Ive never ridden in a car w/ the greddy kit so i cant hate but i it would be too small for my taste.
yeah the retail price is a bit steep and thats w/o an intercooler...
if i had to pay the retail price on that kit and intercooler..i prolly wouldn't have gotten the kit. i payed 3k flat that was the kit. intercooler and bov
im sure if you are networked enough to know some people you can find a good deal.
