Polyurethane Ball Joint Boots
I have a set of polyurethane ball joint boots, one goes on the knuckle, one on the upper control arm, and one on the tie rod end. Now the old ball joint boots are held in place with a clip, but the new ones are shaped differently. There is no ridge or any type of provisions for a clip to hold the boot in place.
How does this installation go (no instructions)? Do I just take the old boot off, and slip this on, hoping it gets squeezed down evenly and no grease comes out? That was what I planned to do, just slip the boot on where the old one was and torque down the castle nuts hoping everything stays even without the clips.
BTW - This is on a G3 Integra, but I doubt it makes much of a difference, a boot is a boot I suppose.

Don't bother replacing them unless they are torn. There is no performance gain from replacing ball joint boots.
I had to replace one of my stock ones because it was torn. Used one of the polys since I had the full kit. Seems to work fine, just make sure to check it for grease once in a while since it doesn't seal quite as well as the stocker. You'll need a grease gun with a needle on it.

It's just CV grease basically. Use a high quality synthetic CV grease and you will be good to go. Redline and Amsoil are my choice for this sort of application.
