wats up guys, i have an 97 gsr wit 120K, i bought the car used obviously. i would like to start modifyin, but i need help on wat brands are good n at a reasonable price. i was thinkin high compression pistons with rods, wit a port and polished head. then i was goin with new intake manifold n throttle body, intake, header n exhaust. im pretty sure i kno wat exhuast i want, n i wasthinkin dc port headers, but wats more sufficient, 4-1 or 4-2-1. i want more power mid range soo i was guessin 4-2-1, but is it a significant amount? is it sumthing ill even feel or should i just go 4-1. oh i forgot to mention cam shafts n cam gears. i was thinkin skunk2 cam gears n intake manifold wit TB, but i idk who to use for cmashafts. i heard buddy club was good for cams. the exhuast i wanted is greddy evo2, its not too loud soo i wont always be looked at, but not quite sure in wat to do. if any one has any of these parts, please let me kno if ur love it or hate it.

 

I think you need to do a lot more research before you start spending money. Concentrate more on good mods and engine management. Usually with that kind of setup things like the DC header will usually prove to be insufficient.

I'd reccomend taking it one step at a time.And do some tests to make sure that motor is in good condition since it has 120k miles on it. Just my two cents what do i know.

 

its looks like you dont know what the hell your doing. no offense. do some reading and dont go cheap or youll regret it. Mike
